In view of the forthcoming changes in European regulation and the Euro NCAP protocols, two players in automotive development are joining forces: IPG Automotive and UTAC, an accredited testing laboratory in France, have entered into a strategic partnership. The aim of this cooperation is to offer an integrated solution that combines simulation and evaluation from a single source.

The core of the cooperation is a solution that is marketed via IPG Automotive. This comprises a comprehensive catalog of relevant test scenarios, which are tested in the CarMaker simulation software and evaluated using the UTAC score. The focus is on a realistic virtual test environment, consisting of test tracks, targets and driving robots, as well as the systematic synchronization of simulation results and real test drives.

The solution is continuously adapted to new regulatory requirements in order to offer manufacturers a reliable and future-oriented validation platform. (oe)
