
Wolfspeed has announced the appointment of Robert Feurle as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from May 1, 2025. Feurle succeeds Thomas Werner, who is currently serving as Interim Executive Chairman and will subsequently return to his role as Chairman of the Board.
Robert Feurle has more than 20 years of management experience in global companies in the power semiconductor industry – particularly in the area of high-voltage applications for the automotive industry. He has been involved in the development of both silicon and silicon carbide solutions and is a US and German citizen. His appointment marks his return to the United States, where he previously held leadership roles at Micron Technology for ten years, among others.
Most recently, Feurle was Executive Vice President and General Manager at ams-OSRAM, where he was responsible for the business unit for optoelectronic semiconductors with over 10,000 employees worldwide. Prior to this, Feurle held management positions at Infineon Technologies, Qimonda and Siemens, among others. (oe)
