Vector has introduced the new version, vVIRTUALtarget 10, thereby expanding its development environment for virtual electronic control units (vECUs). vVIRTUALtarget is a platform for simulating and testing AUTOSAR software. The focus here is on the functional implementation within the software components (SWCs) in AUTOSAR Classic. This allows the future AUTOSAR interfaces to be used as early as the software development phase. This saves time during development, as the software can then be used in AUTOSAR ECUs without further modifications.
Among the new features is accelerated creation of Level 3 vECUs using vecu-derive. In addition, vVIRTUALtarget 10 will now support 64-bit MinGW for building virtual ECUs. Ethernet support for FMU export has also been expanded to facilitate the exchange of simulation models. Furthermore, Vector has integrated new performance metrics for analyzing bottlenecks during simulation. This enables developers to identify performance bottlenecks early on and recognize opportunities for optimization in the virtual development process. Another new feature is a Simulation and Virtualization Bundle that combines CANoe4SW and vVIRTUALtarget.
