AUMOVIO and the BMW Group have significantly expanded their collaboration through a long-term supply and development agreement. The partners are planning new production projects for electronic and braking systems with an order volume of more than one billion euros. At the same time, both companies have amicably settled their legal disputes regarding a past warranty claim involving an integrated braking system.
The expanded collaboration focuses on the integrated MK C2 one-box braking system, brake calipers, and other electronic control and braking systems for future vehicle platforms. In addition, the production supply of the MK C2 has been extended through the mid-2030s. The braking system combines the master cylinder, brake booster, and ABS and ESP functions into a single compact module and supports, among other things, regenerative braking and highly automated driving functions.
As part of the settlement, AUMOVIO Germany GmbH will pay BMW a total of 350 million euros. The payment will be made in two installments in the third and fourth quarters of 2026. The settlement resolves all claims arising from the warranty case. The resulting financial impact will affect earnings for the second quarter of 2026 and lead to an adjustment of the company’s forecast. (oe)
